What follows is my run-in with a Regressive on another forum. I'm out of it now. It's a waste of time arguing with idiots. But please you all join in, there are lots of smart Dems at this (musical electronics) site. They don't show up until a fight starts though. You don't have to register just go and post. 'Left of the dial' is me.

You know CC, I was going to ignore your post, but I tell ya, if nothing else, you have a real talent for drawing people into a fight.

I'm sorry man, nothing personal, but you have the most myopic world view I've ever seen. You absolutely cannot see beyond your own nose. And what's worse is that you don't think. You're spouting cliche after unexamined cliche. Lord, how is it possible to string so many words together without a single critical thought? Your arguments have more holes than a fishnet. You really should try to see things from a larger perspective and through other's eyes.

I'm sorry to say this, I really am, but geez man, if you truly are the kind of person that doesn't care to contribute to a better society, a better community, then I just have no use for you. The person you show us here is a monster, a true sociopath. I truly feel sorry for you.

No man is an island. For all the selfmade man talk that the right is so fond of, the truth is that everyone of us had help. Fortunately most of us recognize this. I hope, CC, you will start to take a hard look at how you think, and consider what the world would look like if suddenly everyone thought the way you do. The words of the philosopher Thomas Hobbs come to mind, that life would "nasty, brutish and short". The world is a complex place. Your simple unambiguous, black and white, all or nothing world doesn't exist. God help us if ever it should.
