how much less effective is it to eat marijuana (brownies) than to smoke it
assuming there's about the same amount in a brownie that there is in, oh, two joints.

just curious, i'm writing a paper for school about it.

3. How difficult is it to search Google to find an answer?
Better way to find the information you're looking for, especially if you're writing a paper (you'll probably find something you can cite as a source).

6. 1/8 as effective..
according to a doctor in a court case I heard while I was on jury duty. Even though I went to college in the 60's, taught high school for a while in the 70's, and was a security guard at a high school on and off for extra money for about 20 years, I've never actually seen marijuana, so I have no clue if that's true or not.

15. If it's not true...
then why do people smoke it rather than eating it? That doesn't pass "the smell test."

What does baking it do? Why couldn't you just eat it?

Sorry for the stupid questions. I know nothing about this. Maybe I need to find some neighborhood kid that can help me with some research. ;)

7. my friends told me...
repeatedly, that because of the greater efficiency of the digestive tract, and the overall tenaciousness and general leisure of the digestive process, the result was a better timed peak and a bodacious buzz of monumental proportions, with the added advantage of having munchie food ready at hand.

at lesst that's what they told me back in the early 70's.

i think they did.
someone told me.
or maybe i imagined it.

i'm hungry.

9. It's MUCH MORE effective
When smoking it you get just whatever passes from the smoke into your blood system through your lungs- a lot of the THC is exhaled. Smoking it is very inefficient.

You eat it, the whole shebang is absorbed into your system. It takes longer to kick in, but it's a LOT more powerful a hit, and it comes on suddenly. And the high is different too- more 'directed', if that makes sense.

Yes, this is from personal experience.

but it is a train wreck when it hits. You can hear it coming from left to right as you get a giant rush. Well at least that's what they used to tell me back in the day.;) ;-) ;-)

39. And you'll wake up ten hours later....
still baked!

Done correctly, brownies are THUNDEROUSLY powerful. THC is fat soluble--if you simmer pot in melted butter (do it in a double boiler so it doesn't scorch)and then strain out the vegetable matter--look out!

It was about six hours of waiting for it be over a few times. In fact one of the big disadvantages is it is difficult to judge how much you've had, unlike say just taking a few one-ies. By the time you know what your getting, it's too late to do anything about it.

34. Kabul cookie hash
It's been years for me,too, but I do remember Kabul cookie hash as one of the best. Most of the people I knew smoked kief (pollen and resin pressed together) for a lighter high. Hash for more serious stuff, especially since it was usually laced with opium. Kief is also what normally used in "spliff", which is hash/kief crumbled into a handrolled cigarette.

29. Here's the deal- it takes more marijuana to make brownies, so
it's much less EFFICIENT to eat brownies. But, let me tell you, if you want to get REALLY high, I mean flying to the point where you can't move, do the brownie thing. People quit smoking when they're pretty high, but they don't quit digesting.

Those things, if prepared correctly with bud-butter, will lay you out flat.

grass just lightly before adding it to the brownie mix, it makes the brownies tast a whole lot better and a lot less like eating crunchy granola....

Now that's a thirty minute meal I'd love to make and eat with Rachel Ray....... Oh that giggle......
