I dont think johhny depp can be better than gene wilder really can since when we think of willy wonka we think of him.



but i think its adifferent type of wonka in this one. :)

3. I beg to differ about the Johnny Depp vs. Gene Wilder comparison
I've always found the Gene Wilder version of Willy Wonka to be a horrible disappointment because the movie is a disgrace to the book that I grew to love & cherish. I'm grateful that Tim Burton is making a movie version that is true to the book written by Roald Dahl.

4. I agree with Lynne :)
The mere fact that they gave the movie the right title is a step in the right direction :) (and leaves room for a "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator" sequel :)).

I like the original movie, but it bore little resemblance to the book.
