Chardonnay tonight, actually, although I really dislike the generic-ness of it. It's like the Wal-Mart of wine.

1. Chardonnay is lovely. It can be velvety... In California, they
make really good Chardonnays.

4. I've never made it up to Napa
I lived in (and will in a few live in again) Los Angeles, and always wanted to go up there. I'm in North Carolina now, near the Biltmore Estate. I was really suprised by how good there wine is there.

13. My boyfriend is from San Jose
Is that around there? Honestly, when I moved to California I couldn't get out of Los Angeles without going to Vegas, so I've seen a frighteningly small anount of the state.

6. Aww, thanks, I won't.
It's snowing, so the closest I get to driving tonight will be playing Grand Theft Auto when i get bored. But I appreciate the concern :)

8. I'm in a Red State "dry county"
So it takes a trip to acquire anything :) I'm fortunate in that I live near the Blue Ridge Parkway- there's some federal rule that overrides the local one, so within a mile or 2 of the Parkway they can sell beer and wine. Go figure.

Since I'm stuck in a red state right now, I'll give the finger to "the man" however I'm able.

15. Oh, no...
Well, I'm watching "Dodgeball", so I guess you could call puffy Vince Vaughn in shorts 'unusual'. Highly enjoyable, but maybe unusual.

17. That counts...
perhaps the degree of how enjoyable (does it increase after a whole bottle of wine) might also count...

18. ohh...
But "Dodgeball" is *so* funny! Really, I saw it in the theater numerous amounts of times, and I don't do that often.

19. in college - after a bottle of wine - went to see "Jaws"
(years after its release - but the first time I had seen it)... when you first see the arm sticking up out of the sand (or at least I recall a scene such as that)... I started laughing hysterically... it was SO kitschy and contrived. Except for those immediately around me (who had also consumed some spirits)... I don't think anyone else in the audience understood the "joke" (that is, the joke in our minds).
