Who is the star you picked to be your lifelong gay icon???

(please only vote if you're a queer man)



If your icon is not one of my shortsighted choices please post a reply listing your star and tell us why, why, and WHY!

If your icon IS one of my choices please post a reply anyway and tell us why SHE is your diva. BTW, since I was 14 mine has been Marilyn Monroe.

His "Mao Marilyn" was shocking to her fans but politically astute.

19. I would occaisionally go to the"factory"
I ran around with Bridet Berlin and Ondine. I knew Gerard Malangas cousin in school in Queens. Andy asked me to make "movies" since it did not pay, I declined. I was around in the early days od Edie Segwick. Andy was very sweet.

Love the voice, love her movies, love her acceptance of gays. I couldn't tell you how many times I've reinacted the scene from "The Rose" where Bette was at a gay bar, doing a show with drag queens impersonating Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, and Mae West(I think?) doing the song "Fire Down Below" I love that scene!!!
