An interesting take on Christmas Movies...
What do you think, is this accurate?

Santa Claus is strictly a red-state hero
A blue state columnist laments the lack of liberal holiday films

COMMENTARY
By Erik Lundegaard

Updated: 2:16 p.m. ET Dec. 10, 2004

You say you’re a dispirited Democrat who just wants to put the recent unpleasantness behind you by watching a few holiday movies? That might not work this year. This year, in movies about Santa Claus and the North Pole and elves, you might hear unfortunate echoes of the 2004 presidential election.

1. Maybe this year.
But all the traditional holiday movies are STRONGLY liberal. Wonderful Life, anyone?

Is spending way too much time watching unimaginative films. Poor guy.

He also misses the point on It's a Wonderful Life. Its message is not cynical, its about avoiding falling into it. Potter, the poohbah of cynicism, is defeated in the end.
