The Rum Diary is in production (great news for Fear & Loathing fans)

Starring Johnny Depp, Benicio del Toro, Josh Hartnett, and Nick Nolte. I can't wait to see Nick... this oughtta be hilarious.

Benicio is directing it.

Terry Gilliam is my favorite director. That being said, however, Benicio's performance in Fear and Loathing brought with it its terrible darkness.

I wonder if he is going to go throughthe weight-gaining process as he did for Fear and Loathing?

I fear for his cardiovascular system. And his renal system, for that matter. :)
