The couple upstairs are having a fight
Edited on Sun Dec-19-04 08:57 PM by demnan
I heard something thrown and a lot of yelling.

Should I:

1. Call the cops?

2. Wait to see if some more stuff gets thrown?

3. Turn up the music?

Ah, there goes the vaccuum again!

1. Call the cops
Maybe no one is getting beat up, maybe they are. I wish someone had called the cops when those sounds came out of MY place. But if nothing else, it will let them know they're bugging you. I hate listening to people fight.

3. Bang on thier door
And tell them to quit fighting like a bunch of assholes and to grow up and learn how to discuss things like adults do,that you can hear trhem yelling and throwing stuff.Shame sometimes chills people out..
How often do you hear these fights upstairs? If it's often there could be an abuse situation going on.If so,please intervene.Call the cops and tell the cops you think it could be an abuse situation and tell them how often it happens. If they got kids be really observant.Abuse situations are not funny people get maimed killed and kids suffer tremendous emotional damage observing abuse.
Too many people in apartments are cowards or don't care, this is why our nation sucks at caring for others and has lost it's heart,
whatever you do ...do something..But don't ignore it.

6. I wish I could say that shame would work with them but it doesn't
One time their dog was running in the apartment so loud and heavy it broke a picture off my wall. I was enraged I picked up the broken shards and walked up to their door, needless to say, I didn't even get an apology.

I've written the useless condo association and the community association about them throwing lighted cigarettes off their porch. There are long standing issues with these creatures. Needless to say, I really don't give a fuck if they kill each other at this point, as long as the gun shots don't go through the floor. There is no way to stop them being irritating, I even doubt the police would be much good.

4. Did he hit her with the vacuum again?
How bad is it? If it's bad enough for the cops, call them. They need something to do.

5. Update
It's been quiet now a few minutes. No he didn't hit her with the vaccuum, she used it. I've called the cops once before on these guys and have lived through this kind of situation before with other neighbors and I don't hesitate to call if there's a real problem.

I'm just not sure at this point. It might be a long night though, and if I hear them go at it again I definitely will call. They're real young, no kids yet, hope it stays that way.

12. Long ago, I heard banging
and my upstairs neighbor yelling " YOU'RE KILLING HIM" I called the cops. The cops came down the stairs laughing. Evidently he was beating up a puppy.
Two years later this guy is in prison for life. 1st degree murder.
