1. Well, my fav is "I'll have a blue (blue blue blue) Christmas without you"
But in lieu of that, definitely Lennon is the man.

Why isn't the song about Snoopy and the Red Baron on there, "Christmas Bells"? ;)

3. That's a good one, too.

But it's actually my third favorite Elvis holiday tune, behind the song I included in the poll, and "Santa, Bring My Baby Back To Me."

10. Charles Brown naturally
There was that jem by " Dyke & the Blazers "= " We got more Soul " which has nothing to do with Christmas but who cares cause it's so damn funky .

34. My son and daughter
just heard her (Eartha's) version for the first time yesterday on our way to "A Series of Unfortunate Events" and they were entranced. Who's that? That's NOT Madonna! Oh, no. No way. I have a CD with Dinah Washington, Billie Holliday, Eartha, and Shirley Horne singing Christmas songs.

4. Donny Hathaway's 'This Christmas'
Hang all the mistletoe
I'm gonna get to know you better
This Christmas
And as we trim the tree
How much fun it's gonna be together
This Christmas

Fireside blazing bright
We're caroling through the night
And this Christmas will be
A very special Christmas for me

What a groove.

9. Yes. Both that and "Happy Xmas" are Spector productions.
That's the Wall of Sound backing Ms. Love.

I love her vocals on that song too. The "please, please, please, please, please, baby please come home" part near the end always moves me tremendously.

36. She had that great voice that just spoke of so much
heartache, despair, joy and all the ins and outs our life's do take. And she did it without having to rely on trilly tricks and voicy flips or all that other nonsence that passess for talent in the world of pop today......

35. You better watch out,
you better not cry. I'm telling you why...Bill O'Reilly's coming to town.
He's knows when you've been sleeping. (and with whom), He knows when you're awake. He's knows when you've been bad (oh, yeah!) or good.
So be good for goodness sake.
