Dr. Frankenbike scores huge at the thrift store...

So I stop by this shop today, and they had a whole posse of bicycles out front. The usual round of Walmart specials, Pink and lavender kid's "BMX" bikes, a coupla Huffy 3-speeds, a Nishiki with a small frame....And....

A 63 cm Raleigh "Technium 460" Aluminum frame road bike. Rough, the seatpost's stuck, but it's all there and the major bits are OK (except for that seatpost) And it's Just My Size...

And there was a sign posted that said "All bikes !/2 off today only"

I got it for $4.98.

I don't know much about bikes, but I know that they are usually considerably more than $5.

That was about 1/10 what just the new tyres are gonna cost...

IF I can get the post out of the frame...
