Are the Oompa Loompa's enslaved against their will?

Or are they paid a wage of some sort? Were they created by Wonka just for the reason for being slaves, or do they actually enjoy thir lives?

These questiions were never answered in the movie:P.

we probably both put it on our profiles on November 3rd. A math professor's door at my school had a big piece of paper with that quote written on it and I immediately made it my tag line. It is perfect!
