A shaggy dog warms my feet.
Two more are there on either side
Pressing to me their hairy hide.

My children, they laugh at such a sight,

1. I was one dog short on a three-dog night.

But Sirius and Nick-Nick did their job and kept me warm. It was 8-degrees Fahrenheit here on the mountain this morning. Thank goodness the ridge line to the northwest is shielding me from the 35+ knot winds.
