I love being cold

Which is convenient, because my condo is cold. Cold, because the 30 yr old single-pane glass windows bobble around in the window frame. My cats (5) hate this time of year. Not due to the cold, mind you, but when we wake in the morning, they anticipate two things immediately - food, and the window. Food is the easy part. The tough part is finding something with a hard edge, that I can use to scrape the 1/4" thick frost off of the windows so they can see. I have to do this, otherwise they resort to chasing each other around the house for amusement.

So anyway, the point of this is my condo is cold. My windows are old and inefficient. But, at least I have 5 loyal cats, windows and a condo. I see people every day who have less, and I wonder how they make it through this time of year.

The nicest people post the nicest things here. And you can never be too cold with 5 cats! They're like little furnaces. Mine's the size of five cats (she's diabetic and um, "portly") and snoring on her blanket behind me.

Yeah!!! It's been cold here, as in the teens with a windchill of -6, I believe.

Great sleeping weather under my big down comforter.

I keep the temps moderate here--around 68--but I will get an occasional complain from a guest. I throw 'em a blanket or a sweater.
