But 4:45 sounds about right... Freakin' early, either way. I will be SO glad when it starts getting noticeably lighter again! The darkness is my least favorite part of winter!
5. Solstice and "The Coldest Night of the Year" Bruce Cockburn
I was up all night, socializing Trying to keep the latent depression from crystalizing Now the sun is lurking just behind the Scarborough horizon
And you're not even here On the coldest night of the year.
I took in Yonge Street at a glance Heard the punkers playing Watched the bikers dance Everybody wishing they could go to the south of France
And you're not even here On the coldest night of the year.
Hey look at me now See the shape I'm in It's taken me so long to catch on to what's going on Inside this skin When two lovers really love there's nothing there But this suddenly compact universe Skin and breath and hair
I watched the all night TV show In the all night bar I drove all the people home I was the one with the car
Now I'm sitting here alone and sleepless and wondering where you are And wishing you were here On the coldest night of the year
11. Beautiful sunshine @ 8AM in the the big valley!
WTF, now @ 8:30, the FOG has rolled in again. That's how it is in the southern end of the Sacramento Valley this morning. Me @ mine will flying out of this fog-hole on xmas AM. Caribbean, here we come!
Sunset - 4:20. WA. Although I'm happy the days will be getting longer, it doesn't change the fact that it's gray most of the time here. We have long winters.
Key West is a small island so everything is near (1 1/2 mi. at it's widest, 5 1/2 mi. at it's longest) however, the Stock Island end of the island costs less then downtown (the other end).
So. Roosevelt Ave. is quieter and you can gaze 90 mi across the water at Cuba. No. Roos. Ave. is busy. both roads lead to downtown where it it HOT! in more ways then one.
