14. 24 hour Walgreens perhaps :-)
I just need a gift for my brother and my parents....that's all. We're not opening presents until tomorrow night. I'm sure I can figure something out by then.

18. Look for the gigantic calculator...
They had this enormous "pocket" calculator... about 12x9 inches ...silly fun gift, especially if your dad is always losing his calculator like mine is. About $10, so it's not a throwaway, but people spend always more on last minute gifts.

8. I have one gift to wrap
I got everybody gift cards this year, so I don't have to wrap those. I just have the anual Christmas ornament that I get my mom to wrap. It's a tradition I started when I graduated high school. I graduated in 1991. The ornaments have the year of the Christmas marked on them.

10. I still have gifts to buy
I didn't anticipate being trapped in my house all week! Moreover, almost everything has been closed. Even the churches cancelled their services today and tomorrow because of the ice storm and snow.

Luckily, most of us here have agreed to essentially postpone Christmas, so I really will have a little bit more time.

12. If I can get my kid to sleep in his own BED...
Monday Night, Tuesday and Wed night, in our room. Wed night I ventured downstairs at o'dark 30 to get something done and that little rugrat noticed. Thurs night downstairs by the damn tree. I told him Santa does not visit homes where kids are not in bed.

So his presents are still hidden and unwrapped.

I had to do some last minute grocery shopping and I bought a bag of coal candy...just for him.

Jiminy CRICKET why won't she go to sleep?
I've been sick and down over some guy news, totally out of the spirit of the holiday, and now I have all these gifts to wrap.

All I really want to do is go to sleep. She's just going to rip the paper off, right? Why bother at all  ?

In other words, I'll be up until at least 3am.
:scared:

22. Here
http://www.noradsanta.org/

Show her how close Santa is to your house. That should encourage her to hit the sack. Getting her to actually go to sleep is, of course, a lost cause.

21. I don't even have half my gifts
I ordered some things, and paid extra shipping so they would arrive on Thursday, but they still didn't come today.

But I'm not going to sweat it. My mother hasn't even decorated her tree yet, plus she's in much the same boat. And my right-wing, passive-aggressive obsessive-compulsive brother hates my guts, anyway.
