Mele kalikimaka from the Big Island of Hawai'i
Edited on Fri Dec-24-04 10:21 PM by Goathead
Hope that everyone is having a safe and happy holiday! I got my Christmas present earlier today, I got to swim with a pod of spinner dolphins at Honaunau Bay, about forty of them, I swam with them for about two hours and now my legs are sore. The best things in life truly are free!

On edit: this photo is not from Honaunau

2. Mele kalikimaka to you too!
I'm moving to the Big Island from New York in a couple of years and cannot wait!

That picture looks so inviting..glad you're having such a good time!

I looked up hot springs/Big Island ..the other day and got the best news..they're there!

An ultrawideangle view of the Ahalanui pool, from its shallower southern end, near the inlet to the ocean (on the right, behind the barricade). The temperature in the shallow end ranges from 95-97°. (May 2000)

A closer look at the ocean inlet for the Ahalanui pool, as a small wave trickles from the ocean into the pool. (May 2000)

5. That is in Puna
We lived in Pahoa when we first got to the island, not far from that hot pond. Do you know where you are going to live when you get here?
