It's snowing in the Gulf of Mexico
We have light snow here in New Iberia, Louisiana. Check this radar picture out:

I guess the monkeys will start flying here shortly.

4. And to answer about the clothes...
no, I don't. Not only that, my house is about 25 feet off the ground, and if my steps ice over and stay that way, I'm stuck!

8. Yeah, I do
We lived in Tennessee for eleven years. One year there we had 30 snow days that the children stayed home, and believe me, Tenn is ready for snow. Unbelievable ice storms, too. So, I have always made sure my family has warm clothing.

2. It's alternating snowing and sleeting here in Galveston,
and I have to keep looking outside, because I keep thinking I'm hallucinating, or something.

5. I know what you mean
The last time we had any winter weather here was some nearly invisible flurries about 12 years ago. They are predicting accumulations overnight of up to 2 inches here. Kind of makes me wish I had small kids....kids, Christmas and snow...there is no more perfect combination!

6. The bad news is
This happened Christmas of 1989. It snowed and stayed below freezing unexpectedly for several days. People that left town for the holidays came home to busted pipes and lots of water damage. I was at home and while my pipes did freeze and burst in a couple of places, I didn't get any water damaged when things thawed out because I had my water turned off. It happened to thousands of homes and it was a bitch getting a plumber for a couple of weeks. What a mess!

9. It's hilarious!
Everybody in my neighborhood (me included) are outside freezing our behinds off taking pictures, and some of the kids are throwing snowballs.
