3. Not as good as the first one......
....but still head and shoulders above most of the dreck out there. It doesn't quite have the frenetic energy of the original, but it's funny and fun for the most part. The kiddos loved it, and some of the jokes are belly laughers ("I'm a real boy!!! Ohhhhhhhhhh.........)

9 on a scale of 10. Two thumbs up.

4. I Remember Reading Here on DU....
...that one of those "family values" wacko Christian groups condemned Shrek 2 because of that scene involving Pinocchio wearing girl's underwear.

7. Tom Waits doing the singing of the bar piano player...
...was a nice touch. It's those little things that separate it from mere product. It made me laugh, and I am a picky movie person.

12. Fuck IMDB
I saw the movie in the theater, and his name was in the music credits for that song in the bar. It wasn't a spoken part, hence the reason it wasn't listed on the all too inaccurate IMDB.
