How many vanity threads, on average, do you post here a day, and

do you ever stop to wonder if it might come across to others as spamming?

I'm not referring to political threads or LBN type threads when you're the first to bring the news to DU, btw. What I mean by vanity threads is "Hey, look at me, I want to feel important!" threads and knowingly starting the 2nd (or later) thread on a particular subject matter because you really want everyone else to see your opinion on it and assume that they won't read through the earlier thread on the matter. Posting 100 LBN threads in a day (assuming they're all big news and all different, and not just linking to your own blog over and over) doesn't count as vanity spamming in my books.

Now, the real question (just kidding) is who will be the first to post a blatant "Hey, look at me, I want to feel important!" thread after reading this, and who else will be the first to copycat them? :silly:

Of course, when you come right down to it, almost anything that gets posted in the Lounge could count as a vanity post! :shrug:

There should be capitals after the quotes....you did it twice.
