Just found out an attorney I've used (a relig. jew), will not read the NYT
because his wife's family asked him not to on the grounds that it is an anti semetic paper. Whoa. I was stunned. Are we living in the dark ages? He is a real estate lawyer.

1. SIGH
Not to get into the whole Israel/Palestine debate, but some see any anti-Israel commentary as anti-Semitic. The truth is, some anti-Zionist propaganda is anti-Semitic, but not all.

2. Any fundie would obviously prefer to live IN the dark ages.
I don't care if the person's a jew, christian (faux or real), islamic, worships a dick, or thinks that Zeus will turn him into toast if he reads too much out of the constellation Gemini. :eyes: Fundies do not want an open minded world, they want the world to fit their closed-minded happy smurfy creamy idealistic vision. And every fundy who gets into power (Stalin, Hitler, whatever) ultimately does the same thing. Oh, the quote about "not learning from the past" really speaks volumes.

I would never want to meet a Phallic Fundamentalist. Or any fundamentalist for any body part, for that matter!

Said it before, my favortie brand of judaism is the pro-education, secular, culture embracing, Eastern European/Yiddish brand -- spawned many great comics/entertainers.
