How long is too long to have a cold?
Is 18 days too long? I'm getting tired of hacking up phlegm balls.

5. feel better soon, and stay away from dairy products
also, the decongestant the doc always gives me is available over the counter now in Robitusin for Chest congestion that will help til you can get in to the doc's office (but won't take the place of antibiotics) if the phlem is mostly clear you may want to try just the Robitussin first and see if you can get your lungs to clear out (but I doubt it, 18 days is a long time to still be feeling crappy if it's just a virus)

8. Its obviously only a matter of time
before some entrepreneur starts coming out with designer colors. BTW, shouldn't that be mucous rather than phlegm ?

13. Clear colored mucus is the pure form of mucus,

yellow mucus has bacteria/virusus. Green mucus contains dead cells. I read that on the internet.

9. Actually that's not necessarily true.
The off-colored phlegm doesn't necessarily mean there's an infection that requires antibiotics. Just read that recently.

3. Do you think it has turned into a sinus infection or bronchitis? Call and
tell them how long it has been going on and they can tell you if it is still within the normal window of time it takes to get over a virus. Sometimes you can catch a new virus on the backside of an earlier one, so you have actually had two different colds.

10. Oh, I don't know, I think one of the leaders of the USSR had one
(quite severe, I believe) for quite some time; I think that he's still "suffering" from it. Terminal, I believe . . .
