1. Oh hell no...no myth.
I was a kid when Carter was President, but I remember Billy Beer. I actually shook President Carter's hand when I was about 9 or 10. He visited the Air Force Base I lived on, and my parents took me to be in the welcome line.

3. Myth? No indeed!
My dad drank a few. I think he may still have a Billy Beer can around somewhere.

7. Just think....
Many presidents have the "black sheep" brother. This time, we have the "black sheep" brother as president.

11. Carter was a very good President.
And he is far more noble than anyone who is in charge now. He also, unlike Bush, is a true Christian.

10. My younger brother has at least one can of that.
I don't know for sure where he came to be in possession of it, but he's got one or two of them. I don't think he paid much, if anything, for the one(s) he has, either -- somebody gave them to him when he was a kid, he was only eight years old when Carter was inaugurated.

13. Yup, Billy Beer was for real. So was this.
Inspired by the late 70s-early 80s TV show "Dallas" it's...

JR Beer!!!

I remember seeing this stuff in the stores (I live in Texas, I wonder if it was sold anywhere else?).
