Anna Nicole Smith "stripped" of $88 million...
Just reported on Today show on NBC. An appeals court has reversed the ruling that awarded Anna Nicole Smith the $88 million dollar fortune of her deceased husband.

"What now, my love? Now that you've left me?"

Fair?

I say, give that woman her money and leave her alone. The old geezer wouldn't have left it to her if he didn't want her to have it.

Maybe he was too old to cut the mustard, but I bet he licked the lid.

7. Watch for her to come out
with a bunch of steamy soft porn movies. Or heck, she may just go all the way and do hardcore porn. What the hell else could she do?

2. She gets a roll of the dice for a billion! interesting :-)
From THE AP

"As part of its ruling, the 9th Circuit said the bankruptcy court should now hear testimony on other charges she made that the court had disregarded.

Included among those was that the younger Marshall exercised undue influence on his father in making his will"

3. Agreed. Give her the money.
Maybe she'll leave us alone after that.

It's disrespectful to the old guy anyway--he knew what he liked, and he bought one. Both parties got what they wanted.

It's the American way, after all.

4. maybe
the court knows more than we do.

I didn't feel right that she should get this old man's money. If I was his family I would have felt the same way.

Get a job Nicole.

5. You have a point in that the court knows more.
But I see this as a strictly business relationship, almost a contract.

Lord knows I loathe the woman myself.

8. she was his wife
why should the soiled, already-rich stepson get ALL the money?

13. you are absolutely right
Where does it end when a legally married wife does not inherit her own husband's assets?

This is whack.

And I am no fan of this woman, but right is right. If marital rights mean nothing, any spouse could be stripped of what we inherit from jealous or bitter stepkids who have more money and power to prolong a court battle.

6. J Howard Marshall got what he wanted.
He earned his millions the hard way but his son (& stepson) never wanted for anything. They just wanted to live the quiet lives of Houston's really rich. It's not as if they really needed this last $88 million.

But his heirs had to hire lawyers, appear in court (like criminals) & be associated with this flashy ex-stripper. How vulgar! How common! The old man was probably laughing from the grave.

And Ana Nicole will continue to carry on....

9. It's sad that there isn't enough money to go around....
How about split the money and both parties will come out okay.

Or, better yet...screw 'em both and give it all to charity...that'll teach them to be greedy!

14. how about the WIFE does not split the money
Why should the wife split the money with the stepchild? I'm sorry, the surviving spouse should inherit. Children and stepchildren should wait their turn. In the meantime, they should consider getting jobs like the rest of us.

No good precedent is set when spouses can be denied inheritance. Smith is not a very sympathetic character, but law should not be decided on whether or not the wife is like-able or deserving.

The stepchild wouldn't have liked Smith any better if she were old and ugly.

15. She gets the home version of the game
"Who Wants to be a Gold digger?"

Too bad for her. Imagine what she had to do to that old man to get in the will.:puke:

All for nothing. To quote Nelson Muntz:
HA-HA!

11. I'm no fan of Anna Nicole
However, I'm always annoyed by relatives who seem to feel they have some sort of divine right to their parents money. You know, the people who whine about their parents "spending my inheritance" - how crass and disgusting to count on money that you had no hand in making.

The old guy left it to her. She gave him what he wanted, he gave her what she wanted. I don't see a problem with that. Let the son earn his own damn money. She earned hers.

12. Anna Nicole is in rough shape.
She's on so many drugs that she doesn't know where she is most of the time. I don't know if she has any real friends, but somebody has got to step in or we'll be reading about her overdose in the obituary column.
