Poll question: Do you admire or pity this woman?

(okay, this one I can understand, I'd
admire her for those two alone!)

3. You seem to be totally unaware of the power of "Grease"
Trust me I can't change the channel quick enough should I run across it.

21. LOL!, me too!
I was 13 when that movie came out and for that whole year in school, that's all I heard about and that's all I heard were those stupid damned songs from that stupid damned dumb movie. I was considered quite the odd gal out because I didn't like either the movie or the songs, and I didn't drool all over John Revolta like teenage girls were virtually required to do at that time. That has to be the dumbest, worst fucking musical ever made.

4. She Had a Lot More Than That
Olivia Newton-John had a string of hits in the '70s, sich as "Let Me Be There", "Have You ever Been Mellow?" and "I Honestly Love You." And she was in the movie "Grease".

And she's a cancer survivor. That alone wins my admiration, after losing my parents to cancer (my mom) and leukemia (my dad).

7. I never knew she was a cancer survivor...
Cool.

Still cheezy in terms of the fluff that made her career, but being a survivor is eminently more important. It's the stuff that transcends fluff.

14. Please Mr. Please
Back to Basics says 1971-1992.
With 17 songs it does not mention a "Will you be there" which I know as a Heart song. I thought she did a song "Let me be there" but that is not on the list either. I cannot remember the singer, but I remember the song.
Let me be there in your mornings
Let me be there in your nights
Let me take whatever's wrong
and make it right
Let me take you to that Wonderland
that only two can share
All I ask you
Is let me be there.
