Where is the best place to download music?
I would like to find some old favorites and download them to my computer. Where would you recommend? I expect to pay, but I want to find a good deal.

Thanks.

1. iTunes
99 cents a song, but be careful...I have downloaded 20 songs at once and it adds up.

It's free. What decades are you looking for?

alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.1980 is one I hit frequently.

6. You need a newsreader
Such as (ugh) Outlook Express.

If you're not up on this stuff, I'd go with a good P2P program like WinMX.

7. I like Napster
because you can buy an all the downloading you want card for a period of a month or three months. You can download all you want for free for that time period after paying/activating the card.

9. It is pretty cheap.
I got my daughter a card for $24.95 for three months and I think the one month card was $9.95 at Target.

13. If you are referring to hating Walmart because...
They are a giant company, I couldn't disagree more. Around here, without Walmart, we'd have to drive forever to buy anything.

I have use Itunes and Walmart and they both work. Walmart is cheaper.

I like Walmart and MP3 files are much more versatile than Ipod files (AAC?).
