and then we're going to do our gift exchange. Since we have a mixed marriage, we started a tradition of exchanging on New Year's Eve (eliminates the "December Dilemna."). Then, I'll come upstairs and hang out w/ y'all...unless I get, ahem, distracted (wink! wink!).

Have to work tomorrow and besides that, I'm too old to worry about partying all the time. But Happy New Year everybody! Lets hope this time next year someone is at least putting heat on bush and co. for some illegal stuff they do. I don't care, anything. Voter fraud is a start.

Won't see the new year until tomorrow morning.
We'll be in bed by 9:30....we're kind of the older generation.
But have lots of Miller Lite and Wine....

12. At home, staring at a system monitor over an SSH connection
I'm always on call New Years Eve to keep a taxi dispatching system running. I think I've worked every New Years Eve since about 1985, since I used to drive a taxi New Years Eve before this gig.

Bah Humbug! It's my least favorite night of the year!

At best, it will be a nice quiet evening home with my wife (which is a pretty good night). At worst, it will be a stomach churning nightmare involving a lot of typing and sweating (haven't had one that bad in years, though).

21. I kind of wish I had someplace to go
but most of the people i know down here don't really go for the whole party thing (overly serious young artists). Last time I went to a New year's party, it was 2000, and I had to go to Columbus, OH to do it. It was a great party, but that's one hell of a commute from Orlando!

Oh well, at least I won't have to worry about hangovers, or driving home with all the drunks on the road...

Eating nachos and shrimp cocktail watching a movie and trying to be cordial while discussing our "safe" topics- politics, religion, science, and the children.

Hopefully, next year I'll have a date. (Hopefully next month I'll have my own place. :()
