Edited on Tue Jul-15-03 03:42 PM by mac56
My own favorite is "All Of Me", but I also have a soft spot for "Three Amigos".

1. The Man With Two Brains (1983)
Edited on Tue Jul-15-03 03:49 PM by lets see
but The Jerk is a great film. And so was Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Dang it...I can't pick.

13. We repeat lines from that movie
all the time. I saw it on TV in the middle of the night after my twins were born. I was up feeding one of them, started watching, continued, fed the other one. And laughed and laughed. My parents were visiting. My father, who said he "didn't get" Steve Martin, got up and watched with me. It was hysterical. One of the best times I've had with my father. Thank you, Steve Martin.

15. I haven't seen it in years,
but I loved that movie and voted for it as well.

Hm, maybe I'll pick it up tomorrow.

3. Parenthood
as its one of the few Martin movies I've seen

(Gil attempting a balloon animal)

Kid: What's that?

Gil: Your lower intestines

(kids laugh and apllaud)

7. I chose "All Of Me," but it was
tough, and "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" is probably my favorite. Can't change my vote, though. Everything I've seen him in, so far, has been great (if only, sometimes, because of his character). Classic little bit on "Little Shop of Horrors," too.

I'd forgotten how funny it was. I saw it before work; put me in a good, goofy mood for the entire day.

16. What about the later films?
"Bowfinger" and "Bringing Down the House" are excluded from the poll?!? These are quality films too.

But out of those you listed, I always thought Planes, Trains, and Automobiles to be one of his best and John Candy was great in that as well.

Couldn't include them all. That's why the "other" category is there.

Plus the swearing at the auto rental clerk and her response and
