First day without health insurance....
And I'm coughing all the time, and running a faever of 100.4. I knew I shouldn't have missed that last day and a half of Doxycyclyne that UWSP gave me for a hich white cell count and cough (suspected bronchitis) a couple of weeks back. If it gets to the point where I need to se a doctor, unless I can get in at the Free Clinic in Marinette on Tuesday, I won't be able to get attention at all until the 24th.

I've downed a shot of Cherry NyQuil (which is a fucking abomination in and of itself) and I'm now waiting for it to take effect.

Fucking insurance companies.

And people wonder why I'm considering moving to Canada.

1. I hate mine so much I'm about ready to tell them to fuck off
Everything they do just sucks. I don't even know where to begin. But, I suppose they're better than no insurance at all.

If you can afford it, take lots of echinacea and have a few zinc lozenges every day. It might help. I am fighting off a chest cold myself right now, and I have serious susceptibility to bronchitis. Here's wishing us both the best of luck getting better.

2. I hope you're better soon...
I'm sorry about the insurance thugs. Sometimes I wish we could just drop all insurance coverage, to remind these bastards that they're supposed to be providing a service! :grr:

3. Let me know what you need
Edited on Sun Jan-02-05 02:20 AM by Baja Margie
as far as prescription meds go, we can compare the prices of Canada's to down here. No charge, just the cost of the meds & postage. You will need to PM me your address, I'll find out what the cost is, let you know. I can get Doxicycline without a prescription. Ssssshhhhh don't want to get busted...anyone else need anything?

on edit; I'm also doing chiles, vanilla, tequila, Kahlua, whatever.

I take fi or in al without co dei ne for headaches; cannot understand why it is so much more expensive compared to 15 years ago.

6. One word: advertising.
Once Big Pharma was allowed to advertise on TV, costs skyrocketed. Hey, Patrick Stewart, John Elway, Mike Ditka, and Bob Dole don't come cheap!
