Crap...after 7 years, I finally lost the battle.
To NEVER, EVER make meatloaf again. There is now a meatloaf cooking in my oven and an end of an era has passed.

5. Well, I did learn that you can't just toss about anything into meatloaf.
Sometimes a bad apple does spoil the whole bunch.

I won't say what I put into that unfortunate meatloaf that time when I was trying some things out, but the ENTIRE meatloaf would have been more at home with relish, saurkraut, onions, and mustard when all was said and done.

Of course that was about 13 years ago, but my bf felt a need to bring it up EVERYTIME I made meatloaf from there on out, so I wrote it off the menu altogether.

7. I stopped making meatloaf for about
15 years because mine never came out edible. Couldn't figure it out.

Then several years ago I bought Williams brand seasoning -- a package of the seasoning, an egg, and some water and a pound or two of meat and voila! A delicious and edible meatloaf! It's now one of the more popular meals around this place.
