US Airways liquidation will push many of us into personal bankruptcy.
And, if EAL's failure under Bu$h-1 was an example, there will be plenty of new graves dug for the suicides. Bu$h doesn't care .. nor do most of you. The IAM will kill US Airways, just like they killed Eastern. I am a staunch unionist, but ...! We (ALPA) gave the ultimate. The IAM cannot even give a little. RIP IAM! You are fucked as a union after USAirways.

4. US Airways ALPA has given up more than any airline union in history.
Period! The IAM has given back virtually NOTHING! The IAM wrecked Eastern Air Lines. They are posed, as a single union, to wreck US Airways. This week! I'm a unionist, but tonight I hate the fucking IAM.

3. Well I care -- My dad is retired from United
I have a feeling that this will spread to many related consumer and aviation support industries.

It almost seems as if the bushies are out to destroy the airline industry and up until recently the relatively good aviation workers salaries and benefits.

The ultimate goal of the bushita gang is to destroy the middle class and of course unions.

5. Ouch. That is sad, bad news.
This must be damn difficult for you.

What a frigging mess the US airlines industry is in, in general. There were problems four years ago, but nothing like now.

6. I almost brought the IAM is bad guy until
" Canale would not say whether the union would strike US Airways if its contract is thrown out but did not rule out some sort of job action.

"Human nature is what it is. What is the incentive to come to work for $7 per hour?" Canale said.

US Airways is in the middle of its second bankruptcy reorganization in two years, and has said it could liquidate early this year if it cannot cut costs enough.

A US Airways spokesman could not be reached immediately for comment. "

SEVEN BUCKS an hour ok probably for baggage handlers and not all bh. That is shit.
