I predict the Oklahoma Sooners are going to come back
next year like the Nebraska Cornhuskers did after getting blown out in the Rose Bowl by the Miami Hurricanes three years ago -- another over-ranked and over-hyped team with nothing but tradition on their side.

1. Why did I know that post would start with the words . . .
"next year"?

3. I'm starting to feel sorry for them....
even though Toby Keith is a Sooner fan. They are getting clobbered.

4. 45-10 now.. someone throw in the white flag
to stop the beating.. I did kinda want OU to win until TK came on as the celebrity OU fan. :puke:

5. It's been a whlie since Miami has sniffed a championship game
but I'm sure the Peach Bowl was fun to watch. :P

6. It's been two years since the Canes were robbed in the Fiesta Bowl
by a bad call. Since then, they've lost a huge part of their team to first round draft picks. They'll be in contention next year.

7. OU has played in three BCS bowls since Miami last won the title
and picked up a win in the Rose. I'd take that over wins in the orange and the peach.

This a thoroughly embarassing loss, but the team has a little more than tradition on its side and will be back next year. Miami is steady, and they'll be good as usual too, I'm sure, though I think VaTech is probably the team to beat in the ACC.
