Tech support request! Is there a way to save a Word file as a .pdf?
Or do you need to convert it through Adobe's website?

We only have Adobe Reader on our PCs.

Thanks!

3.  I think you need the whole program
We have a scanner here at work that scans as a pdf, but I would guess you don't have one of those.
If you want, you could send me the file, I could scan it and send it back to you.

6. I did try the scanner approach, and it worked..

...but the quality was horrible (lousy scanner).

I did sign up for a trial account on Adobe and they let you convert 5 docs for free. THe first one came out wunderbar!

5. You need the full version of Acrobat
You have to have the full version of Acrobat, not just the reader, to save as a PDF.

8. There is a program called
Robo.pdf or something like that that you can get for about $39. It saves documents to .pdf

12. No - we're PC/Windows only. And some pretty old PCs at that.
I've got one of the newer machines (with Win 2003). :eyes:

10. There should be a way to set up your printer

for Acrobat Distiller. Maybe that will work, but then again I'm not an expert on .pdf files.

Again, that requires the full version of Acrobat.

11. If you were using Open Office...
you could open up the word document and save it as a .pdf

A pretty large download if that's all you want to do, though. But certainly worth looking into as an alternative to Micro$oft.
