Baylee (the bunny) back from the vet's, didn't need his teeth filed after all.

He's still sluggish, on medication and antibiotics and syringe feedings. Vet was going to keep him there, but I said no, I want to look after him at home. Last time I kept my rabbit at the vet I was several hundreds of dollars poorer and my rabbit was terminal anyways. (not that they told me)
If I wasn't going to be given a clear diagnosis or any real promise that my pet could be better, then no, I was going to take him home and care for him here. Not going to go that route yet another time.

I'm supposed to take him back to the regular vet's tomorrow for some more fluids and motility drugs. For now, I'm giving him his medicines, his laxatives, his enzymes, his special food. :( I don't know what to feel yet, I want to be hopeful.

he's close to a heater, to heat up his body temp. Vet says to place him someplace warm.

I'm such a wreck....

Along with a bit of cyber lettuce and such.

My guinea pig, Creampuff, had one. It was sudden. We did all we could.

I think you're doing the right thing keeping him at home. The stress of being in a pet hospital is no help.

If you have a heat lamp, that might make him feel more comfortable.

Got my fingers crossed for Baylee....

but yes, problems with his motility for sure.

I sure hope he pulls through this. I'm sending good vibes and karma.

I lost a bunny a long time ago and the doctor didn't know what killed him. He just went into convulsions and died on the way to the vet's.

Please keep us updated on his condition.

I'm hopeful and trying to be upbeat. Trying hard.

I'm home with him, I took him out of his cage and he ran over to his favourite spot.
He looks to me in some discomfort and is lying down with his little head tilted.

It's so hard to watch our furry friends in pain.

Had to put a cat down last year, it was awful

Healing bunny thoughts coming your way. It's good that you took him home.

he looked really bad a few hours ago. Now he's covered up and resting.

Still giving him his meds and feedings, hopefully they will work. They want me to bring him in tomorrow for some more fluids and a temperature check. We'll see I guess. :(
