Jason White and the Heisman Trophy

In my opinion Jason White of Oklahoma never should have been awarded the Heisman Trophy last year. In this year's and last year's championship game White played poorly. Watching him in last year's gave I do not think he played like a Heisman Trophy quarterback. Since his team was routed last night I do not think he proved last night that he should have gotten the Heisman Trophy last year. Is there anyone who has a different opinion? Does anyone think they have any reason why White received the Heisman Trophy last year?

1. He won the Heisman last year...

BEFORE he played poorly against LSU in the Sugar Bowl. Up to that point, he played very well. He just chokes. He didn't deserve it this year.

3. Agreed

I'd have voted for Fitzgerald or Manning last year. Unfortunately, White played his 2 worst games after the award had already been given. I thought he was a good QB last year, but also had a disproportionate from good receivers and high YAC. Fitzgerald and Manning managed to do well with a marginal supporting cast.
