What do you call a carbonated beverage?
I call it soda, but I grew up in Ohio where they say pop.

11. Here in Mass, it is "soda" HOWEVER,
I grew up in South Carolina and it was just a "coke". Glad to here I am not the only one who just calls it a coke.

but I've lived all over the country. Where I live now, 'Coke' seems to be the most prevalent term.

14. Soda
But I'm a minority in Michigan where most people say Pop.

My folks were both raised on the east coast, so I think I get it from them. Damn snooty New England elitists ;)

16. That site's not much good as a reference.
Seriously, have you seen some of the responses for "other"? One of them was "Tubgirl Juice" (trust me when I say you REALLY don't want to know what "Tubgirl" refers to).

17. NYC says "soda"
Unless it ain't got no syrup in it...then it's a "two-cents plain" (boy! am I dating myself with THAT one!)

If it's got chocolate syrup in it and milk...then it's an Egg Cream! Woo-hoo! (yeah, you can have vanilla ones, too.)
