4. I work a 5pm-1am shift
Well, I didn't tonight, but I will soon be back on that schedcule. My body has become accustomed to those hours. I usually stay up until around 3 or 4 am and get up at around noon.

I'm not sure if I really like it that way. I guess I'd like to be more of a morning person. But even if I get to bed early I cannot get up early. No matter when I get to bed I usually sleep until around noon. If I have to get up earlier, I really drag ass and have trouble staying awake.

9. I guess I don't have much of a choice
Mother nature must have made me a night person. I'm glad I have the hours that I do at work because if I had to work a 9-5 job I'd be screwed.

12. If you try to resist,
It'll just make you sick....

You have to go with the natural rhythms of your body....

some of us were meant to work the night....

I think our ancestors must have been the guardians, the ones who stood watch at night, the ones who kept the fire going, the ones who drew the cave drawings, the ones who wrote for the first time to pass the lonely hours when everyone else had drifted off to sleep....

We are the one's who gave the world all that is good, all that is great........

Oh yea, I'm on a roll now.....

16. No, then they'll know our secret
and they will come after us for being different..........

Come to think of it, that's probably where all the prince of darkness stuff came from, we gave them light and they called us evil, we gave them art and they shunned our ways, they sucked our life force and then threw us all away.......

17. I work 10p-6a and have mostly worked nights for the past 28yrs....
usually if I'm out in the day light, people think something is seriously wrong. Still haven't developed a taste for blood, but bright lights and silver bullets make me shudder. The group I work with are know as the Vampire Squad, if that mean anything.

Speaking of famous persons, old Winston Churchill spent a lot of time staying up all night. You know I think I've seen him recently......damn cigar it stinks.

13. I work 4:30pm - 2:00 am
I have been on this schedule for almost five years and I love it. I have always been a night person, though. I worked days last week and absolutely hated it!

15. What do you do for a living
that you have such odd hours? I'm a trucker. Truckers keep all sorts of odd hours. I'm lucky in that I have a short haul job that gets me home every night and is always run on the same scedule, i.e. my appointment times never change.

22. I'm a sound editor
I work for Warner Bros. studios as a sound editor. The department I work in re-masters the old MGM, Turner and Warner Bros. films and tv shows. We also do a lot of work on the current features for DVD, Digital Cinema, High Definition, and cable.

Our facility runs around the clock which is why I work the weird hours.

Besides having to give some face time at the office for about an hour or so per day, I can work at home...and the wee hours are the best. Perfectly silent and peaceful.

Except I get side-tracked with DU and email, among other things...like now! (but then again, it's only 01:45 Pacific, hardly late at all...the wee hours are yet to come.)

11. Hey I already complained about the Garlic in another thread
I am repelled by crosses. The garlic thing (blech). Tend towards dark clothing. And then there is the whole critter of the night thing. Yeah, I got the vampire thing going on.

18. It depends
I'm stuck in the house, it is cold, and all my friends are asleep. But the 5th was a great today so the night this time will not damper my mood.
