Have you ever been "bounced" from a club?

I have, a few times.

The first time because I was a beligerent drunk college student.

The second time I was tossed from a nightclub in Olympia, Washington called Thekla. My friends and I walked in, ordered a beer, and challenged a couple of women to a game of pool. They shellacked our asses.

The next thing we knew, we were being escorted to the door with these parting words: "This is not a meat market". It turns out it was a gay bar and one of my friends was trying to pick up on a couple of women.

I'll tell you what, though. Beautiful women. Know their way around a pool table, too.

What are your stories?

turned out my friend was drinking ketchup from the bottle on the table. I never use the ketchup at restaurants anymore.

as a frat boy myself, this is a rarity, but I had forgotten my ID at home and the LARGE guy at the door pushed me backwards. It was cold and icy, and trying to maintain my balance, I grabbed his arm. Found myself in a snow drift about 10 feet away after that, my friend next to me.

I've been banned from them.

First time some of the guys I was with got into a fight & we all got kicked out.
The second time I threw my drink in some a**holes face, he would not leave me alone. I was asked nicely to leave.

Pioneer Square in Seattle. Turns out it was a leather type place for those who only hurt the ones they love, and I wasn't properly dressed. Hey, it was after a game, and I just wondered in there, and I guess my jean cut-offs and M's tee-shirt was just not edgy enough. After I got over my indignation, I thought it was kind of funny.

Stumbles and falls to the floor just in front of me. I help her to her feet and find her purse and she asks me if I can help her to the door and get her a cab.

When she gets to the top of the stairs leading outside, she starts screaming at the bouncer and smashes him in the face. The bouncer, who assumes that I'm her date tosses us both out on to Division Street.

The worst part was, it was in the dead of Winter and my coat was still inside the club.

I managed to sneak back in and retrieve it, luckily.

The only times I've been "bounced", the bouncers helped carry me to an awaiting vehicle, gently.

Of course, the more I drink, the more I tip. That might help smooth things out a bit ;-)

Just gotta stay away from the scotch when I'm out and about...

How's that for boring?

Once, on the way home from Clubbing, I stopped at some lame Chicago suburban meat market bar. I walked in wearing black 501's, a black dress shirt buttoned all the way up, a black 50's houndstooth sport jacket, black boots, and a black fedora over my very long tr-color hair (circa 1983 or so). I was booted because they thought I was in a gang and hats were not allowed in the club.

early 1990, on an alcohol fueled bender, got tossed from a strip club in Milwaukee for touching a dancer. Don't recall, but was told what I did.

And my best friend gets mouthy too. Well - we were in our 20's and bar hopping was our hobby. One particular night these guys were bothing us so I threw my drink in one guys face and a fight ensued - two guys who thought the other had thrown the drink LOL

Yeah we were thrown out! LOL

Memories!

I was constantly keeping him out of bar fights. The bouncers knew who I was and would come to me to tell me when he was getting out of hand. One relationship I'm glad to be out of.

I don't get belligerent when I drink, I just get silly and laugh a lot.

Results more in me getting laughed at than angering others.

He was drunk and a gymnast. He started doing back handsprings and kicked over a lot of tables and smashed a couple of chairs. We were escorted out, rather roughly.

Another time we were kicked out of an IHOP. One of the guys with us was stealing condiments and silverware off the table.

And yet another time (notice this is never ME, but the person I'm with, right?) a girlfriend and I were at a club and she was very drunk and decided to do a little striptease right in the middle of the dance floor. Some club employees were eyeballing her, but not making a move to kick her out. That happened when she proceeded to perform oral sex on a guy out on the dance floor. Then we got kicked out.


Sigh. College. I miss it.

My husband was a GI back then and can't count the number of bars he got kicked out of. He has a long scar running right across one eyebrow, then on his forehead from a broken beer bottle. Glad those days are over.
