6. Poor Comic Book Guy....
Disco Stu gets all the action.

Personally, I lean more toward neighbor Ned

or that adorable Waylon...

10. Thats not a half-bad idea....
Checked out your blog and really liked it. Very interested that you predict a "second-coming" of the Dixie-crats....I'm assuming you mean modern southern Democrats or are you speaking of the old-line, racist Dixie-crat? Just curious...

12. Oh, non-racist.
If you look at the electoral results by county in the South, it's very blue. The South has the largest concentrations of the economically vulnerable and also, I believe, more military installations than most of the country. As the economy tanks and deaths in Iraq mount, the South will be the most hurt area. That was the basis of my prediction.

13. I agree with you....I've lived my entire life in Mississippi
and I can verify that the Democratic party is not dead here by any means. If it were not for the rat-bastards that get elected as Democrats and then switch parties, we would still be running the state. Our lieutenant governor is the leader of the state senate and the most powerful figure in state government and her betrayal really hurt the party. Our Attorney General and Sec of State are both strong, young Democrats, as is former 3-term Attorney General Mike Moore. He's an exceptional attractive populist, the man behind the tobacco lawsuit that took the cigarette companies to the cleaners, and is virtually certain to run for governor or the senate eventually.

Also, author John Grisham is from Mississippi and has hinted that he is considering a run for governor as a Democrat.

16. No, he's definitely a Democrat, moderate to liberal
He was roommates in law school with our former governor, Ronnie Musgrove. He served one or two terms in the state legislature before his writing took off. Once when a reporter asked if he planned to run for higher office, he quipped that he couldn't because he refused to wear socks and no one would take him seriously!

I really wish he'd run, but its probably just a pipe dream
