2. No.
It's well-known that cats were banned from getting abortions, over the disputes of feminist pet-lovers. The Bushies just don't understand that sometimes it's necessary.

3. if this is about my thread, here is why I titled it that
I had been in the flame war on abortion in GD. I needed to chill so I posted a relaxing cat thread in the lounge, something non-related to abortion.

5. In all seriousness, I've thought about this.
I wonder what happens if you take a cat to be spayed, and she is pregnant. What does the vet do?

9. Evita had an abortion
When she was fixed turned out she had some little ones brewing.

Not much they can do - babies are gone

But she was fixed about 3 days before I adopted her

11. Seriously, my old roommate had the vet give his cat an abortion.
And I later adopted her. I thought it was just a terrible thing, losing the little kitties. Since I'm pro-choice, I am obviously a very mixed up hypocrite, huh?

14. dogs can so why not?
A friend of mine had to get a termination for a dog she rescued. The vet did the procedure and spayed her in the same operation. It was necessary to save the mother dog's life after an accident of some kind, but this was the 80s, so the details are pretty vague. Thinking maybe she found the poor thing abandoned roadside or hit by a car or something? Anyways...The dog did get well and my friend even found a new home for her. So it was a happy ending.

even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.
