I went in for my first day of work today. (Yes, dolo's unemployment saga fans, I got a part time job :D) The girl I'm the assistant to tells me "I haven't had a lunch break in 3 years, because I've never trusted any of my assts to handle things while I'm gone." (she told me the same thing a few months ago in the interview.) So I'm there an hour, she shows me what it is I'm to be doing, then observes for a while...then says "Y'know what? You're doing great! I'm gonna go to lunch!"
She and the chiropractor from upstairs aren't a second out the door when who calls but the big boss. "Diane, I need for you to take these orders, call about these parts blah blah blah...oh, and get a quote on so-and-so part...here's the model # " etc. So I go..."Ok", hang up the phone, call the vendors and lo and behold...there IS no part for said model #. I guess the person who's run the business for 20 yrs is allowed to make a mistake, right? ;)
I asked them what they had for similar models, what the price was, did they carry it both new AND refurbished, etc. Dude calls back and is like...silent for a sec, then he's all..."Ok".
I smell a conspiracy. :D :tinfoilhat:
