Poll question: How much laundry does your household make every week?
My son and I recently took in one of his friends (who had been thrown out of his house by a mentally-ill parent). Since then, it seems the amount of dirty laundry has doubled (!!).

I don't get it... if there were two of us before, and there's three of us now, my laundry should have increased by 50%, right?

So how come I'm doing 20 loads of laundry every week?

1. Depends if I'm currently smoking.
If I am, my laundry load doubles or triples. Another benefit of being smoke free.

2. I do between 12-18 per week for three
I have a teen-age daughter who won't wear anything more than once without washing it. We have a stackable washer so it's not quite full size. It seems like a lot.

4. That's excessive! How many other people live in your house
besides you and your daughter?

8. There are three of us
I think it's excessive as well. I can't break the SO of only using a towel once thing and of course daughter picked that habit up as well. My washer is on the small side but for the life of me I'm amazed it's so much too.

There are two adults and one toddler in my household. My son is not potty trained. A lot our laundry consists of pants and blankets that the little guy has peed on.

9. Same here
Usually get in two or more loads a day and there's always more. Laundry is like fungus, ya just can't get rid of it.

Well, two loads every two weeks, to be exact. I own a lot of underwear and socks explicitly for this purpose.
