I keep running into things that make me sad about Kef

Today I was making art history slides of Egyptian art.

That was bad enough. I was putting them together and thinking about him fondly and sadly....and then I remembered about how excited he was about King Tut's exhibition coming to America this year.

And then there I was, bawling silently in the Visual Resources Collection....

11. Me too. I never really communicated directly with Kef, but

he was such a reassuring presence here. It was nice to check in at LBN during the day, and see that he was keeping us up to date on everything. What a sad and shocking thing to hear last weekend. And he was so young, too. We're all a little diminished by his absence.
