1. maybe they are Old Testament subscribers

the bit of the bible that portrays god as a kick-ass deity who gets pissed off if he doesn't get enough respect. Maybe they should try the New Testament...god seems to have mellowed a bit in that bit of the holy gobbledybook and is less prone to inflicting plagues and other acts of vengeance on those of his creations who step over the line.
