3. flame suit required
I like the marines, and they are actually one of the brighter services (asvab scores second to the airforce, I believe). I think this is more of a "republican" test.

OK, so the "proper" answer is (a), at least for the brass, the answer you will give on the battlefield will be (b). From all the buddies I knew, plus my Grandfathers and Uncles who have been in war, one of three things happen when a soldier, of any branch, is wounded in action and still conscious.

!. They cry to their mothers as loud as possible.

2. They cry to God, or Jesus, or some other religious epitaph.

3. They cuss out the enemy, or cuss out their own government, depending on there inclinations.

Usually, when any of these types of things are heard, especially in the past, that meant the soldier was a goner, and didn't know he was dead yet. This is particularly true with number one.

6. Okay, having been in the Marines, I have to respond to this:
First of all, I'm not mad or anything...I feel that you should be able to joke about anything.

However, the Marine Corps has the 2nd most stringent entrance scores after the Air Force.

Also, all of the people wishing to go into the Armed Services take the same test, the ASVAB.

I was in the Marine Corps and I was also a high school state chess champion, so we're not all rocks (that's the military term for a dumbass). I'll admit the Marines have their fair share of dumbasses, but no more than any other service or any other large group of people. Some of the smartest people I know were in the Corps.

Hell, I was only in from 1992-2000...just the Clinton years. Looking back, that was pretty damn smart of me :). (Of course, I'm a convicted felon, so I can be a dumbass sometimes, too.)
