Who else has seen William Shatner in concert?
Way back in the late '70's our local rock station brought a show to town they called "Symphony Of The Stars". It featured the Chicago Symphony Orchestra playing classical music with a "space" theme. For context, this was just after the release of the first Star Wars movie.

The venue for the show was Market Square Area where the Indiana Pacers used to play.

To top it off they hired William Shatner to be the front man. While I wasn't lucky enough to hear Captain Kirk's beautiful singing I can confidently report to you that he should NEVER be employed as a reader of poetry in front of a symphony orchestra in a basketball area.

What prompted this little reminisce was the thread about walking out of movies before they're over. I suspect that most of the audience didn't make to the end of the show.

4. that is correct, sir.
"has beens" is strangely cosmic. it's a mix of punk, jazz, lounge act, and damn near zappa, overdubbed with Shatner gravitating between poetic monotonous monotone, and genuine genius.

i recommend listening to it, but only if you have adrian belew's "laughing man" to follow up the experience.

3. How about Yoko Ono's singer at the music concert in Canada many
eons ago? I saw the movie. She has to be the world's worst singer and wanted to make sure everyone knew it. She much have "sang" for 20 minutes. People were leaving right and left.
