Bush Twins replace Kid Rock with...are you ready...HILARY DUFF!
Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

http://launch.yahoo.com/read/news/14288845

The talent lineup for President Bush 's upcoming inaugural bash is missing one American Badass--and we ain't talking Hilary Duff. As expected, Kid Rock didn't make the cut when the roster of celebrities and performers was unveiled Thursday.

The raunchy rappper-rocker was widely rumored to have been on the list for one of Dubya's inauguration parties for over a month now, but conservative groups, led by the Campaign for Children of Families and the American Family Association, put the kibosh on any possibility of the "Picture" singer appearing after they launched an email campaign on Monday urging their members to protest Rock's inclusion.

It's hard to know which particular tune raised the ire of the family-centric organizations, as Pamela Anderson 's ex has countless R-rated tracks to choose from, including such ditties as "Wax the Booty," "Cowboy" and "Pimp of the Nation," whose lyrics include: "Pimp of the Nation, I could be it/As a matter of a fact, I foresee it/But only pimpin' hoes with the big tush/While you be left pimpin' Barbara Bush."

The Jan. 18 concert, hosted by Bush twins (and alleged Rock fans) Jenna and Barbara, is one of nine separate events tied to Bush's inauguration. America's Future Rocks Today will now feature a decidedly more wholesome lineup of singers, including teen queen Duff, up-and-comer JoJo, Gloria Estefan , 3 Doors Down and 2003 American Idol champ Ruben Studdard . The two-hour event, held at D.C. Armory Stadium Complex, will also feature video clips and "guest speakers" (Mom and Dad perhaps?).

SAY GOODNIGHT, ROBERT (Rock's real name: Robert James Ritchie)

1. Hillary doesn't even sing
she's another one of these pop tart movie queens who are making albums based on their name recognition. I hope they have the lip synching vocals ready to go

18. Huh? You have evidence that she doesn't sing?
From what I hear she's a very good singer, as are many actresses.

3. She's the only "celebrity" they could get on short notice, since she
couldn't find work anywhere else.

4. no wonder they bash liberal artists
they don't have much with talent to be proud of themselves.

Kerry had regular campaign appearances with much better performers.even when you exclude big events like the convention and large fundraisers.

5. So what you are saying is...
one talentless hack was replaced by another talentless hack. I wonder how kid runt is taking the censorship of his party. Too bad, I was hoping he and his porn-star girlfriend would get loopy and start an orgy.

6. Poor Republican youth...
...your hero George W. Bush is being inaugurated and you're ready to party down with the Bush twins at the America's Future Rocks Today concert. But first, the Campaign for Children of Families and the American Family Association get a say in picking what musical acts get to play at your hoedown. What do you end up with? Hillary Duff. Third-string tweener queen. Rock on GOP!

7. Check this out:
"America's Future Rocks Today will now feature a decidedly more wholesome lineup of singers..."

If they would only change the name to Future of America Rocks Today they could use the acronym FART. ROFL!

9. That's a pretty depressing lineup for such a major event
Whereas for Kerry, he'd have U2 at regular campaign stops. Also, there was the concert for change. My god, that was like 4 hours of some of the greatest talent in rock music.

19. If it was a concert for Kerry's inauguration...
I bet the bill would be a LOT better:

U2
Bruce Springsteen
Public Enemy
REM
Green Day
Eminem

A hell of a lot better than the crap the * gang is putting out.

12. But yet Kid Rock probably still supports *...
If his career weren't already in the crapper, I'd wonder how he was going to feel when the right outright bans his music, let alone just not letting him play at the inauguration.

13. This just in: Duff/Lohan feud ends in draw, both equally worthless
I never liked Hillary Duff or anything, but I sort of thought she was the less annoying of those 2 overhyped marketing experiments. Something about how overrated Lindsay Lohan is in terms of people saying she's hot and whatever, combined with the general sense of her being a super conceited, dumb bitch, made me sort of give her a special place among the most annoying celebrities.

Now I know that Duff is just as annoying, and it seems idiotic. All of her movies have been bigger bombs than the next, and evidently she doesn't realize what an idiotic career move this is. Good luck getting the roles you want sweetheart.

15. The should try featuring a decidely more TALENTED
lineup. Duff can't sign, can't act, although with that squeaky voice she might find work doing cartoon voice overs.

I can't boycott the others since I wouldn't buy more of their stuff anyway. I am not a fan of Hilary, Ruben, or JoJo (and also Kid Rock.) Though I think Hilary and JoJo are probably performing for the publicity and not the politics.
