Baking for Meetup
I'm attempting to sway undecided voters to Dean with banana bread and pumpkin pie. Does this violate FEC laws? :9

6. I believe food contributed to a party that's not in your house
counts as an in-kind contribution, and if it's over a certain amount, must be declared. (So if you've already given $2000 to Dean, you can't give your banana bread, but if you've given less, the cost of the bread is nominal so you're probably fine.)

You might also want to check to see if the Meetup venue allows carried-in food. You won't run afoul of the FEC, but you might get in trouble with the health inspector.

You're not perchance going to be at the meetup at Long Wong's in Milwaukee tonight? You've put me in an autumn-food mood.

7. oh......that type of baking

Once again, I thought this was a reference to marijuana.

I was about to tell you GO FOR IT, there's no better way to get young people involved in politics.

:)

8. I can't make it, unless...............
I supposed I could be swayed with a Sweet Potato Pecan Pie (the kind with a hint of bourbon in the sweet potato part).

Actually, I've got other plans for tonight. The meetup is this evening right?

14. Yep, it is.
But you seem have to a very enthusiastic host in your area, so I'm sure it'll be happening next month, too.
