A while back, a DUer had a way to ID the IP of posters, anybody know how
this can be done? I remember being a little freaked when my own IP showed up (and I can't recall if it was in my own post or a reply...) anyway I'd really like to know how that's done...? :D

1. It was probably judged a bad idea to give out that information.
For obvious security reasons.

2. I don't recall any mod warnings or anything and isn't it MOL 'public' info
There's a REALLY obnoxious guy on another board who posts about 10 a minute, I'd love to be able to figure out where they come from...oh well

7. Oh I'm thinking of something else.

There actually used to be a feature, a long time ago (before July 2003), that would give anyone the IP of the poster who posted a message. It wasn't a trick you had to do - it was a feature that was as easy to use as looking up someone's profile or sending them a PM.

3. bwahaha!
those browser sniffing graphics are just like mirrors. Only you can see your own info. A lot of DUers didn't know that and freaked out. So Elad (or EarlG?) made me take mine down. Apparently they're not allowed on DU.

8. I remember seeing a picture of a little man
holding a sign that displayed your IP number. That was quite a while back.
