She better live another $30 years, after this expense!

For the record, she has a bowel obstruction. x-rays aren't in yet, but know itn her, she probably ate some Lego bricks, or a whole smaller cat.

1. I wish they'd make a version of Liquid Dran-o for cats...
One that would unclog the pipes without damaging them...

5. blood work, x-rays, and a "Kitty Kolonik" (tm)
An operation might be necessary, but the vet wants to wait and see if everything straigtens out on its own in a week to ten days.

4. ya it's pricy but
don't let people say stuff like I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SPENT THAT MUCH ON A CAT. Gawd, I hate hearing that sh** - it is RUDE and do we need to explain to people we spend money on what we think is important to us? I know people who live in houses they cannot afford, drive cars way more expensive than they need, own a hundred pair of shoes - but they will STILL say stuff like that. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

6. HippieDog Hank's battle with a barbed wire fence
... cost me about $475 for anasthesia, stitches, staples. The week before Christmas. Ho Ho Ho.

3 yers ago when he got hit by a car and broke his leg, he had orthopedic surgery to wire/pin it back together - that was over $900.

But I don't bat an eye about emptying the bank acoount because I couldn't imagine my life without him (as he is now snoring and farting on the recliner ...)

:silly:

:hippie:

10. Sadly...
I am in a pretty tight financial position right now, but I had earmarked $100 for the Red Cross Tsunami relief effort. Now I won't be able to do that until Feb or later. At least I'm sure they'll still need it then.

11. People who say "it's just a cat" (dog, lizard, etc.) ought to be slapped
I will spend any amount of money necessary if my kitties are sick and need medical care. I'd do it for my husband or kids (if I had any); why wouldn't I do it for my cats, whom I love unconditionally and who love me unconditionally? I could never do enough for them to repay the love and loyalty they give me!
