I think I'm rooting for Roddick. Partly, because he's a hottie and partly because I think he is one of the most fun players to watch. Although, if Hewitt or Federer won I wouldn't be upset
I play in the city leagues and watch it all the time on TV. I'd like Roddick to win too. I'm afraid he won't though unless someone else clears Federer out of the draw for him. He just doesn't seem to have figured out how to compete with him. Odds are, Federer will win. Yawn.
The women are much more interesting to watch. Field is wide open. Sharapova looked good today and I think might pull this one off too. Davenport is the number one seed, but having some health problems lately and not sure she will be healthy enough to pull out another major. They are my two favorite players. I just love the way the Lansdorf coached players hit.
Thats how she got the number one seed. Clijsters is still out with the wrist, Henin-Hardenne is out with her mysterious virus which has lasted 8 months. I don't know who else is out. I wouldn't be surprised to see Venus knocked out by Daniilidou in her first match. She is a tough player and Venus hasn't been playing well for a long time.
They were so cocky. I liked seeing them humbled. Even last night Serena was giving an interview saying the only person who could beat her was her. No one else. The female announcer said she might wanna look back at the Wimbledon final. Serena didn't beat herself in that match. Sharapova bludgeoned her to death.
